Locals are being urged to support a breakfast barbecue at Snout in the Trough in Camperdown this Thursday morning to raise money for fire affected families.
Café owners Jarrod and Justine Bell will donate all proceeds from the breakfast to BlazeAid and said they were rapt with the support from their suppliers.
“We put out the call to our suppliers and told them what we wanted to do and, like so many organisations locally in the last few weeks, they’ve put their hand in their pocket to help,” Justine said.
“Nature’s Cargo have donated lots of produce, La Madre have donated the rolls, Coastal Wholesales have come through with plates and packaging and Coffee Cartel are supplying extra coffee for us to use.”
Jarrod said he would be making his egg and bacon rolls, with spinach, caramelized onion marmalade, relish and a hash brown.
“With everything donated, 100 per cent of sales will go to BlazeAid,” he said.
“People can buy an egg and bacon roll for $9 or get it in a combo with a coffee for $12.
“Myself and Paul Coverdale will be on the barbecue. We’d love as many people as possible to skip breakfast at home, come and pick up some breakfast from us and raise some important funds for those affected in our community at the same time.”
The fundraising breakfast will begin at 8am and run through to 11am.
